Security sources close to the emerging development told INDEPENDENT that the Ethiopian Airline had arrived the airfield at about 2pm local time, and shortly after it departed Kano, the suspicious bags was uncovered.

The multiple source who pleaded anonymity because of the sensitive nature of development explained “sooner as the passengers disembarked from the jet that they uncovered suspicious luggage.”

In his words “As soon as the Airline left, some Security Personnel uncovered some suspicious Luggages and upon checking them different Foreign currencies were seen hiding in them”.

He spoke further, “upon close scrutiny further assorted foreign currencies in Dollars, Euro, pound Starlings and others were uncovered”.

The impeccable sources said that it was at that moment, we called for reinforcement , and in no time the police, DSS, Custom, Immigration and even EFCC drafted their men in combat gears.
