West deploys ‘humanitarian’ organizations to regime change

ADDIS ABABA- The unfounded human rights violation reports of big Western-funded ‘humanitarian’ organizations including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have been employed as justification for toppling nationalist leaders in the pretext of ‘humanitarian intervention,’ according to the Center for Study of Interventionism.

The Paris-based think tank further stated many Western NGOs exaggerated the situations in Libya to expedite the intervention led by the U.S., UK and France. Accordingly, NATO’s ‘humanitarian’ intervention in Libya and its bombardment of Libyan cities and bulldozing of infrastructure comes from Amnesty’s unconfirmed allegations that President Muammar Gaddafi’s mercenaries killed civilians in Benghazi.

As to the center, some admitted the mistake after the damage was done. In a view of that, Geneviève Garrigos of Amnesty International France openly confessed they have no evidence that Gaddafi employed mercenary forces.

John Laughland from Paris-based think tank Institute for Democracy and Cooperation said for his part that Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch false reports were used to validate the U.S. and its Western allies’ intervention in Libya.

The Washington-based Damascus Center for Human Rights Studies played the same role and they made human rights violation reports and alleged crimes against humanity to call global actors’ response thus facilitating the U.S. military intervention in Syria.

By the same token, some Western-backed NGOs are following a similar pattern in Ethiopia and have made unwarranted allegations against the reform government and accused the latter for violating human rights thereby justifying their financiers’ intervention.
