The issue of WHO Director General, forwarded to the Independent Expert

ADDIS ABABA – Executive Board of World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that the issue of WHO Director General, Tedros Adhanom (PhD) has been forwarded to the Independent Expert Oversight Advisory Committee (IEOAC) for further scrutiny.

A response received from the Executive Board of WHO confirms that the issue of WHO Director General and his conduct has been forwarded to the IEOAC because of abusing the organizations position for other outlawed purpose.

It is to be recalled that the government of Ethiopia has sent a letter to the WHO as the director general has abused his power. Tedros has not also lived up to the integrity and professional expectations required from his office.

Ethiopia filed on numerous occasions and complaints revolving around the WHO Director General’s violations of WHO code of ethics and professional conduct, and he has used organization’s platform to disseminate propaganda against his country to do terrorist group, to which he has been belonged, a favor.

In light of the continuous unprofessional behavior, delinquency as well as information readily available on the social media, no doubt that the IEOAC will expeditiously reach at conclusive decision, it was stated.

WHO code of ethics and professional conduct states that “WHO staff members must exercise caution and refrain from expressing their opinions and beliefs publically or engaging in political actions that might interfere with governmental policies or affairs. Incitement of hates against specific groups of society such as ethnic, national, or religious minorities or any segments of society is not accepted.”

Tedros’ daily comment and speech is overwhelming evidence that he continues abusing WHO platform to double as T-TPLF external spokesperson and lobbyist. Putting  the mandate given by the organization aside, the director general continues violating professional code of conductand credibility of the organization.
