I. Introduction

Crime against humanity and genocide are as old as humanity and history itself. An ancient document from China to Mesopotamia, Egypt, Rome… is abounding in blissful reference to annihilating neighbors frequently. The Holy Bible, the Quran and different religious document and also other ancient manuscript has recorded this shocking history of mankind. From the ancient world, historians regard the Mongol devastation i.e. Mongol invasions and conquests as one of the deadliest acts of mass killings in human history.

In modern times; the Holocaust, Nazi genocide of ethnic Poles, the Cambodian genocide, the Circassian genocide, the Armenian Genocide, the Rwandan genocide, the Greek genocide, the genocide in Bangladesh, the Assyrian genocide, the Massacres of Hutus during the First Congo War are the said to be lists of the top ten genocides by death toll. The word “genocide” was first coined by Polish lawyer Raphäel Lemkin in 1944 in his book Axis Rule in Occupied Europe. It consists of the Greek prefix genos, meaning race or tribe, and the Latin suffix cide, meaning killing.
