Having a stay with the international media on the current issues of Ethiopia, the senior advisor Mamo Mihretu said that the military is making significant progress with confidence with a view to achieving the set target—burying betrayals for good.

According to him, the government of Ethiopia has been responsible for protecting Ethiopian people, national sovereignty, and its integrity.

The terrorist TPLF group was trying its level best to close the main Ethio-Djibouti corridor and forced the government to come to negotiation, but their effort remained an illusion.

“As the terrorist TPLF expanded invasion to neighboring states of Amhara and Afar, it has been difficult to provide the needy in Tigray, Amhara and Afar states with humanitarian support. The Ethiopian government has a strong bilateral relationship with the U.S. and the two countries have been discussing a number of issues in a candid manner towards peaceful resolution in Ethiopia,” he said.

He further said that the government of Ethiopia always wants peace and has been working very close with friends that have unwavering stance in support of Ethiopia’s sovereignty and integrity . Ethiopia has also considered African peace initiative which is supported by the African Union (AU) to bring an end to the current conflict.
